ELLENSBURG, Wash. - The Central Washington University
Samuelson Union Building (SUB) Theatre will be the site for the
“Central Washington Environmental Forum” Sunday, May 18, from 3 to 6
p.m.
The forum allows participants to “learn more about everything
from environmentally friendly building materials to population and
global warming issues,” according to Andrew Cottonwood, CWU Asia
University America Program lecturer and advisor to the CWU Progressive
Student Union (PSU).
Cottonwood adds the forum will also re-open constructive and
informed dialogue in the community and among interested groups, and
inspire local actions that lead to more sustainable communities in
central Washington.
Exhibitors and panelists will present information on:
environmental issues, problems and solutions; central Washington
projects and resources; and, global environmental concerns.
The sponsoring organizations are PSU, the Peace and Justice
Alliance of Central Washington and Green Party of Kittitas County.
