ELLENSBURG, Wash. - Central Washington University’s
department of information technology and administrative management
(ITAM) offers students programs that combine information technology and
administrative management theory with applied, real-world applications.
As an outreach beyond the classroom, ITAM will sponsor a
symposium for professional administrative staff at CWU and in the
Ellensburg community on Wednesday, May 14.
Participants can choose from four breakout sessions after the
keynote address. After lunch, four more breakout sessions are slated.
The sessions will be led by university professors from a
range of backgrounds.
“The presentations will focus on a variety of different
topics ranging from tips and tricks of spreadsheet software to
designing your office space for comfort and efficiency,” Dr. Kimberlee
Bartel, the symposium director, says. “The sessions are designed to
provide unique opportunities for professional development.”
Symposium registration begins Wednesday at 8 a.m. followed by
the keynote address at 8:45 a.m. in the Tunstall Dining Room at CWU.
The $50 symposium cost includes presentations and lunch.
