DES MOINES, Wash. - Beginning next fall, Central Washington University will begin offering its master of science in engineering technology (MSET) degree program at the CWU-Lynnwood Center, located in “Snoqualmie Hall” on the Edmonds Community College campus.

The CWU program is now available through a partnership at Highline Community College and to full-time graduate students at the university campus in Ellensburg. Beginning in September, students will be able to attend classes in Lynnwood two evenings each week throughout the quarter, from 5 to 9 p.m., completing their degree in two years.

“The degree will be accomplished in a cohort of students who progress together through three quarters of two classes each, then a summer off and another year of two classes each quarter,” Dr. Juan Robertson, Puget Sound coordinator for the CWU MSET program, says. “The program serves practicing industrial, mechanical, manufacturing, and electrical engineers while they continue to work and is intended to provide breadth in engineering knowledge, practice, and technique in order to broaden career potentials and options.”

The degree program, including multidisciplinary classes offered by instructors with strong academic and industrial experience, is also suitable for technology education teachers and for faculty in two- or four-year colleges, according to Robertson.

For more information about the program, visit www.cwu.edu/~iet/mse.html, or call 206-878-3710 ext. 5170.
