ELLENSBURG, Wash. - Central Washington University was saddened to learn of the death of Dr. Donald E. Guy on March 9, 2002, in Ellensburg. Dr. Guy came to the university in 1969 from Wells College in Aurora, N.Y. serving as a faculty member in the department of psychology. He was appointed as Dean of Students in 1976; then served as Vice President for Student Affairs from 1988 until his retirement in 1992.

His energy, wit, humor and kindness won the admiration and affection of everyone who worked with him. Dr. Guy's dedication and service extended to several community organizations. He was an enthusiastic member of the Ellensburg Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club and served as president of both organizations.
