ELLENSBURG, Wash. - Tomorrow (Friday, June 7), the Central Washington University board of trustees and President Jerilyn S. McIntyre will officially dedicate the Shaw-Smyser Hall rose garden in honor of Gloria J. Craig. The public is invited to attend the ceremony, slated for 12:30 p.m., at the southeast corner of the building.
A distinguished university administrator, Craig worked in the CWU business office from 1966 to 1981. In addition, she served as administrative assistant to three presidents and secretary to 20 different BOT members from 1981 through her retirement in December 1994.
Following retirement, Craig also realized a lifelong dream and completed a bachelor of science degree at CWU. She died Aug. 9, 2001.
