CWU BOT To Meet Friday In Ellensburg

ELLENSBURG, Wash. - Central Washington University's board of trustees (BOT) will act on a variety of items during its next meeting Friday, June 10, in Ellensburg.

Headlining the list are the university's 2006 operational budget, the 2005-07 operating and capital budgets, quarterly tuition and fees, and the services and activities budgets. The board will also consider the university's auxiliary services business plan, substance use/drug policy and proposed changes to the educational benefits policy.

Interested persons may attend the BOT public meeting in Barge 412 at 1 p.m. It will also be broadcast on cable television Channel 61, Community TV - Channel 2 and to CWU-Des Moines and CWU-Lynnwood.

Prior to the public meeting, trustees will convene for 10 a.m. committee meetings and will have lunch together. In addition, two or more board members are slated to meet in a variety of public settings throughout the weekend, including:

  • CWU's honors convocation, Friday, June 10, at 8 p.m. in McConnell Auditorium;
  • Central's 114th Ellensburg commencement, Saturday, June 11, at 10 a.m. at Tomlinson Stadium; and
  • CWU's westside commencement, Sunday, June 12, at 6:30 p.m. at Benaroya Hall in Seattle, for graduates from CWU-Des Moines, CWU-Lynnwood and CWU-Pierce County.

Thursday, June 9, board members will also have dinner with CWU President Jerilyn S. McIntyre at her home. No action will be taken at the social event.
