ELLENSBURG, Wash. - David Spade, who has been called one of the most successful breakout stars from “Saturday Night Live”, will perform at Central Washington University Oct. 26 during “Homecoming.” His performance in Nicholson Pavilion is scheduled for 8 p.m.

Spade’s stand-up comedy act is a hit at colleges and at other venues nationally, according to Scott Drummond, assistant director of campus life.

Spade, currently starring in the TV sitcom “Just Shoot Me,” has also appeared in movies such as “Tommy Boy,” “Black Sheep” and “The Adventures of Joe Dirt.” He made his television debut on Saturday Night Live, in 1990, and was later named the “Hot Stand-Up Comedian of the Year” by Rolling Stone magazine.

A limited ticket presale began today (June 27) on the CWU Ellensburg campus for Spade’s Oct. 26 show. Tickets will be sold on a cash or check basis at the Samuelson Union Building Information Booth, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and at the University Store, which will also accept credit card purchases, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Telephone orders will not be accepted.

Tickets are $20 for CWU students with current university ID; $28 for the public. There is a limit of four tickets per category, per purchase, Drummond notes.
