ELLENSBURG, Wash. - Central Washington University’s symphonic wind
ensemble, under the direction of CWU music professor Larry Gookin, will
perform a free, public concert Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 8 p.m. in Hertz
Auditorium on the Ellensburg campus.
The program will include “Festive Overture” by Dmitri Shostakovich,
“Toccata, Adagio, and Fugue” by Johann Sebastian Bach; “Suite
Francaise” by Darius Milhaud; and “Concerto Grosso for Brass Quintet
and Band” by Fisher Tull, which will also feature the CWU faculty brass
quintet.
