CWU Prepares For Career And Internship Fair

ELLENSBURG, Wash. - Representatives of 36 construction management, engineering, safety management and business firms will meet with potential employees, interns and graduate students during Central Washington University's construction management and industrial and engineering technology Career and Internship Fair.

It will take placed Thursday, Feb. 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Samuelson Union Building (SUB) Ballroom.

"It's important that our students know these companies are looking for construction management and engineering technology majors as well as business, supply chain management and accounting candidates," says Teresa Youngren, CWU Career Services employer recruitment coordinator.

The list of participating companies includes Lydig Construction, Genie, Kiewit Pacific, University Mechanical and Suncadia which "will be recruiting for an array of jobs and internship positions like project engineers, customer service managers, accountants, business administrators, estimators, geologists and safety managers," Youngren adds.

Those firms represent eight states and a wide range of businesses such as heavy civil, major industrial, high-rise building construction, residential home construction and consulting.

Some of the companies will hold on-site interviews while in Ellensburg. Interested students should visit the Career Services Web site (www.cwu.edu/~career) for a listing of which companies need advanced notice for interviews.
