KCWU Channel 15 to Air More Local Programming

ELLENSBURG, Wash.-- Each weeknight at 7 p.m. on television station KCWU, Ellensburg cable channel 15, Central Washington University's division of multimedia, technology and instructional support is now airing programming produced by and about the university.

Monday night arts and entertainment are featured; Tuesdays and Thursdays "Inside Central," a "behind-the-scenes" look at CWU, will be aired; Wednesdays is reserved for sports; and, on Fridays academic-related programs will be broadcast.

Some of the programs in the current line-up include the student production "Chute, Shoot, Chut" and the 1995 NAIA national championship football game.

In addition, the "Many Facets of Globalization" lecture, sponsored by the office of the president, will air for the next two Fridays, Feb. 13 and 20, at 7 p.m. The featured speakers include CWU professors Dr. James Cook, history; Dr. Loran Cutsinger, anthropology; and Dr. Paulus Pimomo, English. This lecture is the first of two lectures on the topic of globalization that will be aired.

Also on Friday, Feb. 13, the CWU board of trustees meeting will be aired live from Barge 412, on the Ellensburg campus beginning at 1 p.m.

Around the clock, at 25 and 55 minutes past each hour, the university's calendar of events is now shown.
