Seattle Women's Chorus To Perform Saturday At CWU

ELLENSBURG, Wash. - Renowned for "celebrating the human spirit through music," the Seattle Women's Chorus will perform at Central Washington University Saturday, April 23, at 7 p.m. in the music building concert hall.

The 130-member chorus will pay homage to great girl groups and girl singers in a performance titled "It's Our Party: A Salute to the Girl Groups of the Early 1960s." The free, public presentation is sponsored by the CWU diversity education center, center for excellence in leadership and empowerment center.

It will be the keynote cultural event of CWU's first lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) conference, April 22 and 23 on the Ellensburg campus.

"The Power of One: LGBT Leadership Conference," will focus on LGBT issues, leadership skills and the building of campus and community coalitions.
