CWU To Help Observe 'Dia De Los Niño'

ELLENSBURG, Wash. - Since 1925, an annual "Dia de los Niños" (Day of the Child) has been celebrated throughout Mexico, to recognize children and their importance in society, and to safeguard their well-being.

The second annual Central Washington University observance of "Dia de los Niños" will take place Saturday, April 29, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ellensburg High School.

Activities are planned for the kindergarten through middle school students and will include storytelling, face painting, plays, music, hands-on craft projects and science experiments.
