CWU Presentation Looks At Coffee In Tea LandELLENSBURG, Wash. - Christine Day is a coffee expert. She has to be, since she is marketing the beverage in an area where tea is still king. Day, the Asia Pacific group president for Starbucks Coffee International, will discuss the opportunities and challenges involved with her job at Central Washington University during a College of Business public lecture on Friday, April 28. Appropriately titled "Coffee in the Land of Tea," it is set for 11 a.m. in McConnell Auditorium. In her present post, she is responsible for company-owned and licensed markets in the Asia Pacific region, including business development, brand management and business portfolio management. A 1984 CWU graduate, Day joined Starbucks in 1987 and has held numerous positions in the company. She is also a member of the CWU Foundation board of directors, and serves with the board of the Select Comfort mattress company.
