CWU Welcomes New Marketing/Communications Coordinator

ELLENSBURG, Wash. - Dr. Becky Watson, Central Washington University director of public relations and marketing, has announced the appointment of Teri Olin to the new post of university marketing and communications coordinator. Olin began her new duties on Tuesday, April 11.

"As a resident of Ellensburg, I'm excited to have the chance to work and live in the same community," Olin says. "I'm also excited about the opportunity to help promote my alma mater, which I'm passionate about."

She earned her bachelor's degree in video communication studies in 1997 from CWU. Since 2003, Olin has been the creative services coordinator for Memorial Hospital in Yakima, Wash., where she received Chinook Advertising Awards in 2003 and 2005 for hospital marketing and community awareness campaigns she developed.

In addition, Olin has served as a news producer for KOMO TV in Seattle and executive news producer for KIMA TV in Yakima, Wash.

Her volunteer service includes communications director for the Kittitas Babe Ruth Baseball Association and youth soccer coach. She also has served as president and member of the National Broadcasting Society.
