Annual CWU Orchesis Dance Performance Scheduled

ELLENSBURG, Wash. - Central Washington University's Orchesis Dance Company will present its 39th spring concert April 13, 14 and 15 in McConnell Auditorium. Therese Young, CWU dance program coordinator, will direct the performances.

"The range of dances this year is incredible," Young says. "They include modern, jazz and a lively traditional Scottish dance piece choreographed by Abby Hargett, who has performed Scottish dancing worldwide. It also includes a snappy tap number, a traditional African dance with live drummers and a ballroom duet performed by Central students, Luke Petschauer and Jessica Dumas."

The performances are slated for 7 p.m. each evening, with doors opening half an hour before each performance. General admission tickets are $8; CWU student tickets are $5. Tickets will be available at the door.
