Office of the Registrar: REGI Instructions

Step 1 - Call REGI from a touchphone (963-7344)

If calling long distance, precede regi number with 1-509.

Step 2 - Enter an action code (7 - 29 - Year Code - Term Code - '#')

  • 7 = action code for registration
  • 29 = institution code (2 = C, 9 = W)
  • 02 = year code for 2002 or
    03 = year code for 2003
  • 1 = winter term code, 2 = spring term code, 3 = summer term code, 4 = fall term code
  • # = number sign to complete the sequence
Example: 7-29-02-2-# (for spring 2002) or 7-29-03-1-# (for winter 2003)

Step 3 - Enter your student ID number

CWU has recently assigned new CWUID numbers to each student who was currently registered last spring 2002 quarter. If you need to find out your new CWUID number go to WIN located at https://win.cwu.edu/win/login.cfm type in your current social security number and PIN, and WIN will display your new CWUID number. New students will be assigned a new CWUID number upon acceptance.

Step 4 - Enter your personal identification number

Your PIN was assigned at the time of acceptance to Central Washington University. You PIN should be kept in a secure location, as it is used to access your confidential student records on the Wildcat Information Network (WIN) or to register for your courses on REGI. You may change your PIN on WIN located at https://win.cwu.edu/win/login.cfm. If you have forgotten your PIN, please contact Registrar Services at (509) 963-3001.

After you enter your CWUID Number and your PIN, REGI will respond by spelling out your last name. If the name is incorrect, press * # and try again.

If you still get an incorrect name, exit REGI by pressing 9 #, then call the Registrar Services for assistance. Their number is (509) 963-3001.

Step 5 - Do you want to contribute to the Washington Student Lobby?

If yes, enter 1 # If no, enter 0 #. If you answered yes, a $2 charge will be added to your tuition bill.

Step 6 - Enter your next request

This is the point at which you add and drop courses, one class at a time. Obtain the call number for each course from the schedule book. REGI will tell you what you have just added or dropped after each entry. REGI will then prompt you for your next request.
  • To add a course: press 2 * followed by the call number and # (if a course is by permission, you will be prompted by REGI to enter a 5 digit permission number followed by the #).
  • To drop a course: press 3 * followed by the call number and #
  • To cancel a mistake or discard a partial entry : press * #
  • To hear a list of courses: press 5 #
  • To wait list a course: press 9 5 #
  • To exit REGI: press 9 #

Accessing Your Grades on REGI

  1. Call REGI from a touchtone phone: 963-REGI (7344)
  2. Enter this action code: 4 - 29 - Year Code - Term Code - # (see above for details)
Confirmation of grades will be mailed to your permanent address for Fall 2002 only. After that time, you will need to retrieve your grades from REGI or WIN. In addition, grades are only available starting the last 2 days of finals through the next week and a half. For further information, please call your registration office at (509) 963-3001 or obtain a quarterly schedule book.
