The vice president for university advancement provides leadership and recommends policies related to university advancement, including development, alumni relations, public relations and marketing, and university publications. He/she serves as the liaison to the central washington university foundation and is the primary officer of the university overseeing friend and fundraising. Through its various offices, the division of university advancement promotes, sponsors, and engages in a wide variety of undertakings designed to enhance the knowledge and understanding of, engagement with, and financial support to central washington university in advancing the university's mission.
