CWUP 2-60-035 Campus Safety and Health Committee

Reports to the vice president for business and financial affairs and provides the manager of environmental health and safety with supportive assistance in the development of university-wide safety and health policies and procedures (per WAC 296-24-045). Also provides assistance in identifying unsafe conditions and practices, including recommendations for improving accident prevention procedures.

Membership:
2 ex-officio [manager of environmental health and safety, campus police chief], 7 appointed [2 faculty, 2 union civil service, 1 non-union civil service, 1 exempt, 1 student]

Purpose: The committee provides the occupational safety officer (OSO) with supportive assistance in the development of university-wide safety and health policies and procedures (per WAC 296-24-045). Also provides assistance to the OSO in identifying unsafe conditions and practices, including recommendations to the OSO for improving accident prevention procedures.
