Welcome to Safari, Central's student information system. Faculty and staff, click on the links below for information and help using Safari Web.
For Assistance, call the Help Desk at (509) 963-2001.
Back to Top Please take the time to review the following Navigation Tips. This information will simplify using Safari as well as save you time.
- Access Safari via the Wildcat Connection - To access Safari, go to the CWU Homepage at www.cwu.edu and logon via the Wildcat Connection (portal), then select the Safari hyperlink. Faculty Safari is available both on and off campus. Staff Safari is available on campus, only. The Safari URL (Web address) is not available off-campus directly over the Web, only via Wildcat Connection.
- Avoid Using the 'Back' Button For user security, information is not retained when navigating between/among pages using the 'Back' button. Instead, use the Navigation Path and/or hyperlinks found on each page.
- Be Patient There may be occasional processing delays. Avoid selecting (clicking on) other links while waiting for Processing to finish, as this may lock up your Safari Web session, with possible loss of information entered to that point.
- Avoid Double-Clicking Links This has the effect of making two, separate requests for the same information, slowing access.
- Check Your Computer's Date/Time/Time Zone/Daylight Savings Checkbox - Your computer's time and time zone must be set as if you are in the state of Washington (Time zone is Pacific Time). The Daylight Savings Check Box must be checked. If your settings are not reflective of the above information, you will likely receive the error message "Your PeopleSoft Connection has expired" within 30 seconds of attempting to log in.
- Using Multiple Windows - On each page, a New Window hyperlink is displayed in the upper right-hand corner. Clicking this link opens a second Navigation Path.
- Always 'Sign Out' - When you are done with your Safari session, select the 'Sign Out' button in the upper right-hand portion of the page. This will log you out of Safari (the PeopleSoft sign-in page will appear, showing you are logged out). You will then need to close the PeopleSoft page and 'Logout' (upper right-hand corner) of Wildcat Connection so that your Safari session cannot be used by anyone else. Finally, exit your Web Browser.
- Review the Important Information - Click here for information about Session Expiration and Timeout, Browsers, Cookies and Scheduled Availability.
