Purpose:

The Philosophy & Religious Studies Club at Central Washington University is an active group that participates in a variety of activities. At the heart of our club are weekly meetings, during which we read and discuss in-depth any number of historical or contemporary writers of philosophical significance. We meet on-campus and have a wide variety of students in attendance. While many of our members are Philosophy and Religious Studies majors and minors, the club also includes a large number of non-majors/minors who have an active interest in philosophy. In addition to these meetings, club members have the opportunity to attend regional professional or student conferences. Numerous student members of the Philosophy & Religious Studies Club have presented papers at these conferences. Club members also sponsor occasional events such as barbecues, potlucks or other get-togethers to enjoy some casual philosophical exchanges.
