Health, Human Performance, and Nutrition

The Department of Health, Human Performance, and Nutrition has many programs that lead to both the Bachelor of Science degree and the Bachelor of Arts degree. The Masters of Science degree in Physical Education, Health, Nutrition, and Family and Consumer Sciences prepares the student to function as a professional in the areas of human movement studies (science of coaching and human performance), health and physical education teaching in public schools, and dietetics and nutrition.

In addition to professional preparation in health education, public health, physical education, exercise science, and nutrition, the Department also encourages students to develop skills in physical activities that will enable them to promote their personal fitness, maintain health, build morale, and establish an interest in lifelong learning..
