Lab 2 Directions:

At start of lab, immediately:

1. Show SBR and lecture notes to grader.

2. Show grader your email of RD to yourself.

3. Show Grader your N:Drive and the RD

4. Show RD (rough draft) to your grader.

Lab assignment:

5. Search the WWW for 3 sites for our thesis.

6. For this quarter, do not use Google. Let’s get used to another search engine.

7. Topic: Try several, but start with something about effective students, behavior, habits, etc.

8. Show search results screen to your grader. Put a screen capture at end of RD. Search Word Help for screen capture.

9. Summarize the information from one site IN YOUR OWN WORDS and add it to your rough draft. 100 words minimum.

10. Say which university and/or person wrote it.

11. Take a quote from the site, place it in your rough draft, and footnote it (again, use Word Help). Show your grader.

12. You might need to finish the following after lab & before next class. Repeat the above for the other 2 sites. Don’t show the grader of course.

13. Make observations about what you first wrote contrasted with what you found on the WWW and add these to your RD. Add a conclusion about your observations. If you finish all this using good faith effort, then check in with your grader so you aren’t docked for leaving early.
