What follows in the boxes should have been done well before
lab.
Mounting your index page
Open Word
Save as web page called index.htm
(Note, not capital I)
Make sure the name of the file does
not contain .htm twice!
Use
the I: drive,
Open
the folder with your userid on it,
Then
open the public folder.
Delete any preexisting documents in
the folder if necessary.
Place appropriate information on the
index page to identify
1.
Purpose
of page/Title
2.
yourself
3.
the class, quarter, etc.
Format the page using various
formatting tools found on the ribbons.
Wait overnight, then
in lab next morning open Internet Explorer
Put in your URL.
Example:www.cwu.edu/~youruserid/index.htm
Page should be viewable.
Go to your grader’s computer in lab.
Type in your
website URL in their computer browser.
Web Page works? Good. Take the rest
of the lab off!
