Introduction

Have you ever thought about were your drinking water comes from? How does water recycle it's self? And how do we recycle water in treatment plants? Did you know that only about 3% of the water available is good for us to use. There are many pollutions like fertilizers that contaminate our drinking water and affect our health. It is important to have clean water to maintain a good health. Without water their is no live. Where does your drinking water really comes from? What would happen if that water gets contaminated? There are water treatment plants that clean the water before and after it gets to your house. So how clean is your water?



Task

For this assignment, you will investigate where your drinking water comes form and what the water treatments steps are. Then you will have the option of choosing one pollution, like fertilizers, and investigating how that pollution affects the environment. The main caused I want you to choose from are sewage, fertilizers, nitrates and phosphates. You could also investigate are arsenic, contaminated sediment, disinfection by products, dredged material, lead, mercury, and microbial pathogens.

Conclusion

Know that you know about water recycling and water sustainability, It is important that you share the information you have learned with your family and friends. You have found out that water is important and we don't have very much of it so use water sparingly and inform other to not contaminate the water. Polluted water affects the environment, animals and our health. Protect our plant by not waisting or polluting water.
Next time you are going to use water think about where it comes from and how important it is.
