Teaching with Interactive Television |
ITV Faculty Panel: Teaching at a DistanceA faculty panel experienced with providing multipoint interactive televised distance learning expresses individual views and experiences. Here you will find a selection from 50 video vignettes, apprexoimately 40 seconds to one minute in length that originally appeared as part of a CD called, "Teaching at a Distance, Central Washington University". The CD was presented at two major conferences and won the Bronze Award in the yearly Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) comptetion. On the CD you can select from eight main topic areas, including Plan Ahead, Teaching and Learning, Technology, Traditional v.s. DE, Working with Technicians, Asynchronous Components, Program and Curriculum Issues, Future Involvement, and Remote Sites. The CD includes QuickTime Virtual Reality of a typical distance learning classroom, video shorts about a prototypical teaching console, and control room, as well as floor plans of buildings on campus with distance learning classrooms.
