How to Manage the "Courses You are Teaching" Box  (download/print .doc file)

When you first log in to Bb you are in the My Institution Tab and on the left you see the "Welcome, Your Name" message. The My Courses box appears on the far right and displays a list of course titles. Unfortunately, by default it doesn't display the course ID's (just titles) and it shows all the courses you are listed as an instructor for whether you are using Bb for them or not.

1. By clicking the small pencil icon on the right (see down arrow), you will be able to select the option to view the course ID's as well.
   






2. Below you can see the screen that appears after clicking the pencil icon. To display a course title that is preceded by the course ID select the course in the Display Course ID Column as pictured below
   





3. An additional feature allows you to hide from your view the courses that you don't have available and/or don't want to be visible to you. Unavailable courses are never visible to your students but you may not want some of them to be cluttering your My Courses box. To remove these courses from your list (the courses remain but are not visible) deselect the course in the Display Course column and Display Course ID column pictured below:

    

Note: Courses with a four digit quarter code (for example, winter is 1071) will be deleted one year after the quarter in which they are taught.
