Creating Groups - Bb 6
Instructors can create groups for the specific purpose of allowing those group members access to group discussion boards, group file exchange, group email and group virtual classroom.
Log on to http://courses.cwu.edu and click on your course. Go to the Control Panel by clicking on the Control Panel button.

Click Manage Groups. This link is located on the right side of the Control Panel under User Management.

Click the Add Group button.
In the Add Group window, choose a name for the group and enter it in the Group name text area. If you want to enter a description of the group, type this in the Description text area.
In the Group Options area you have several choices. Select all tools the group needs access to. Choose whether or not the group will be visible at the time of creation.
Click the Submit button.
On the Receipt page, click the OK button.
The new group and it's tools are displayed. Next click the Modify button to add group members.
Click the Add Users To Group link.
You have several options on how to display users in the course. Depending on how many students you have and how you intend to organize the group you can simply click the Search button to display all course users.
Users are displayed in groups of 25. Check all boxes under the Add column for users you want added to the group. In addition to adding students, check the add box for all instructors that need access to the group.
Click the Submit button.
The Receipt page is displayed, click the OK button.
