Assignment is created with a # sign in the title i.e. Assignment #1. Instructor receives assignments from students and afterward goes to Grade center to "download all". An HTTP error is received. This problem also occurs with ?, /, % and other special characters |
Remove the offending character in the content area but not in the Grade Center column. You will then be able to download the items |

Essay Questions in exams are partially covered by the text entry box causing the student not to be able to view the whole question. |
When the instructor creates an essay question she/he can select "Smart Text" radio button and enter the following HTML code to force the answer box below the question:

Sometimes the Course Menu is not visible when you access your course in Bb 9. The announcements area is all that is visible. |

When the instructor attempts to read the Unread Posts in a forum and then reply to a post, Bb9 does not automatically change the post to Read. The "Mark as Read" button for individual postings does not work either. |
The workaround is to check the box next to the posting and click the Mark dropdown box at the top or bottom of the screen to change it to Read. |

In the process of downloading and then re-uploading the Grade Center spreadsheet the following error occurs when using Firefox 3.X browser: "Please upload a valid file" |
When performing the upload operation use Internet Explorer 7.0 or 8.0 and be sure that when uploading the file that "auto" is not selected for the "delimeter type". Use the type that the file was downloaded as. For example, if you download the grade center as TAB delimeted, then select "Tab" when uploading. |

Initially instructor enters grades for a Safe Assignment assignment and returns the paper after clicking View Grade Details>> Open Attempt>>Enter Score. Next after clicking Submit user is returned to the View Grade Details page and a pop-up error is generated: "cannot get model." The connection to the Grade Center is lost. When attempting to return to the GradeCenter it fails to load. |
As a workaround instructor has to click the title of the class in the top navigation bar to reset the class and then return to the Grade Center to enter the next student's grade. |
