Services Provided

  • The design, installation, and maintenance of audio and video systems on campus.
  • Equipment maintenance and repair responsibilities for CWU.
  • Provide engineering reviews of media systems or media equipment for all new construction.
  • This includes making suggestions to building committees, Facilities Management, and contracting consultants.
  • Local engineering and project development assistance for changes in media delivery and production capabilities.

Media Engineering Projects

  • CWU Lynnwood Center Building: A-V consultant and design services for two Distance Education rooms and fourteen classrooms. Completed September 2002.
  • CWU Television Studio Facility: Design and installation of a complete rebuild of the studio facilities. This project was the first comprehensive upgrade since 1978 and moved the Communications Department lab area from 1980's analog to 2000's digital production capacity. Project was completed for classes beginning March 2003.
  • YVCC Higher Education Facility: A-V consulting and design for a joint service facility for Yakima Valley Community College, Central Washington University and Washington State University on the YVCC campus. The facility contains eleven Distance Education rooms with seating for 30-35 students each and thirteen general classrooms and computer labs. Completed September 2004.
  • CWU - Highline Center Building: A-V consulting services to Sparling Engineering. Completed September 2004
  • CWU - Pierce College Center: A-V consulting and design services to a remodelling project creating new facilities for the CWU Center at Pierce College, Fort Steilacoom campus. Completed January 2004
  • CWU Classroom Media Upgrade Project: An on going project to upgrade all general classrooms on the CWU campus for embedded Multi-media instruction delivery. Media Engineering is providing design and installation services for this project.
  • CWU Music Building: A-V consulting and design services for classroom technologies. Completed January 2005
  • CWU "Super SUB": A new Student Union Facility scheduled to be phased on line from Sept. of 2005 to January of 2006. Media Engineering is providing A-V design and consulting services to the project architects and contracting firms.
