| MAF/Instructional Technique: There will be four different jumping stations for this lesson. The first station is box jumps. At this station I will need 3 different sized boxes set up from shortest to tallest. I will also need cones set up at the end after they jumped onto the boxes and skipped down to the cones. The next station will have poly spots placed so students know where to run to, to jump. There will also be additional poly spots in the area so they are able to put them down to measure their distance. In addition, this station will have cones placed at the end after they jump and karaoke down. The next station will be a station with cones set out in a zigzag pattern. Also, there will be cones set up at the end after they jump and slide down to the cones. The last station will be ladders set down for students to jump through in various ways. At the end will also be cones set up so after they jump through the ladder they can jog down to. |
| Informing task #1: Those at the first station will pick a box of their choice and jump up twice. After the 2nd jump, you will then skip down to the coned area and repeat until stopped. |
| Extensions: Start at the higher box if you are taller. Start at the lower box if you shorter. |
Refinements: Bend your knees before jumping. Thrust your arms up as you jumping. |
Applications: Try to use correct form about 80% of the time while jumping. |
| Informing Task #2: Those at the second station will run and jump from the poly spot already placed and then place the extra poly spot where you landed. Then karaoke to then cone and repeat until stopped. |
| Extensions: Can jump off of 2 legs. Can jump off of 1 leg. |
Refinements: Bend your knees before jumping Thrust your arms up as you are jumping. |
Applications: Try to beat your last jump each time. |
| Informing task #3: Those at the third station will jump through the ladder and then jog to the cones and repeat until stopped. |
| Extensions: Jump through the ladder with both feet. Ski jump through the ladder with both feet. Jump through the ladder skipping one ladder. |

| Informing task #4: Those at the last station will jump in a zigzag pattern behind each cone and then slide down to the cone and repeat until stopped. |

| Informing task #5: After all task have been completed students will take the heart rate monitors off and set them up to the machine to read each monitor. After the software has read each students results they will then record their findings in a written document. |

Application: Have students write up a report of their indiviudal heart rate records. |
