Profile

Graduate enrollment was 431 in Fall 1999 with 256 full-time students (59 percent women). The largest graduate programs are Psychology with 56 full-time students and Resource Management with 38 full-time students. Most programs have full-time enrollments between 10 and 20 students.

A survey of recent graduates (1993-1996) indicates 85 percent are either fully employed or enrolled in doctoral programs. Of those employed, 45 percent are school or college faculty, 22 percent are school or college administrators and professionals, and 19 percent hold professional positions outside education. Of those fully employed, the largest proportion (66 percent) reported salaries in the $25,000 to $50,000 range. The majority of graduates (90 percent) reported their programs of study to be relevent to their present professions. Over 93 percent of the respondents were satisfied with their graduate experience at Central; 82 percent ranked the program as good to excellent. Survey respondents rated small classes, personal relationships with faculty and classmates as the programs' greatest strengths.
