A minimum of 45 quarter credits is required for the master's degree, with some programs requiring more. Chemistry, Geology, Experimental and Counseling Psychology, School Counseling, School
Psychology and Resource Management require a thesis, but most programs allow students options such as completion of a project, written comprehensive examination, field study, internship,
or creative project.
A final oral examination is required for most programs (usually over the thesis or project).
Central Washington University does not offer doctorate programs.
