Hello! and welcome to my webpage! My name is Yajaira J. Martinez and I am a senior here at Central Washington University. I am graduating in the Spring with a 

degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Bilingual Education/TESL. 

I absolutely love to work with kids! I have had many opportunities to work with them, and I can't wait to get started in my teaching. I really have a passion for 

working with English Language Learners. My goal is to be a teacher in a dual language classroom where I can teach my class in

Spanish and English. I just have a passion for working with English Language Leaner's because I was one starting out in kindergarten and I understand how 

difficult it can be. Being able to show students it's okay to be different and bilingual and not look like everyone else is so fulfilling to me .

 My favorite aspect of working with students who are ELL or a little behind in material is seeing the 

light in their eyes when they finally understand what's taken them a couple months to grasp and the gratitude you receivefrom them and their parents.

Something exciting in my life is that I am getting married in December on the 26th, and we're getting married in Mexico. My extended family lives over there and I

wouldn't have it any other way than to get married with them there. I am getting married to my best friend, high school sweetheart and the love of my life. My 

friends say I am "spunky" humble, outgoing and just a great person to be 

around. To me friendship and family are the most important part of my life. I love to have a good time whether it be at a family BBQ, dancing, swimming, 

shopping and boating with friends.
