Are there any membership fees to become a member?
Membership in the CWU chapter of AMA costs $49 for the academic school. Membership dues can be paid with check or cash to any club officer. In addition, the national portion of the membership due ($39) may be paid with a Visa or Mastercard.
How often are meetings?
Every other Tuesday night at 6 P.M. in Shaw-Smyser room 106. For the next meeting time and agenda, please visit the Upcoming Events link to the left.
What are some ways I can get involved in the Marketing Club?
The number one way to get involved is to become a member! Attending the meetings, events, and being involved with the executive board are all encouraged. For members looking for more involvement, we encourage you to become a part of our coupon book committee.
What kind of activities does the Marketing Club do at meetings?
We have guest speakers at most of our general meetings and discuss administrative affairs concerning marketing. Pizza and soda is provided at most meetings.
Can I run for an officer position within the Marketing Club?
Officer nominations will be accepted for the 2008-2009 school year in. Any paid AMA member in good standing is able to run for any office.
How can being a member of the Marketing Club benefit me?
Being a member of Central's AMA chapter will provide you with numerous benefits. Being a member will enable you to become a part of the largest professional marketing association in the nation, The American Marketing Association. In addition, you will be a part of CWU's award winning chapter, an excellent addition to your resume.
Can I attend a meeting even if I am not a member?
All meetings are open to any student or community member in Ellensburg. In order to travel to off-campus events with the marketing club, you must be a paid member.
Are professors involved or is it completely a student organization?
Yes, Professor Robert Kulik is the advisor for our club, and Professor Mark Pritchard is also involved.
