2003
Geography of the Pacific Northwest Map Exercise 2Assignment due November 20 |
You now have the opportunity to design a major portion of your final
exam by letting me know what you feel
to be the most significant information that students should be able
to assimilate from the readings and any other
material presented in class, as elucidated through a focused study
of the published maps in your Atlas.
Please examine the maps in your Atlas for all of the topics covered
from October 23 to the end of the quarter,
and write up a set of 10 multiple choice questions based on the cartography
presented by these maps coupled
with the geography as explained in the text. In other words,
try to connect map information and place name
recognition with significance or meaning as derived from the readings,
lectures, videos, or guest speakers.
You may choose any of the maps or set of maps upon which to base your
questions. Take care and put some
time into devising interesting questions, for the best questions overall
will show up on the final exam.
On November 20 you should hand in a typed set of questions, along with
the four possible answers for each
question, and with the correct answer circled or clearly indicated
in some other manner.
This is an individual assignment worth 20 points.
