CLASS SCHEDULE
Mondays are reserved for review of the previous week's assignments and for introduction of new material along with map and web site previews. At this time especially  you are free to ask questions about anything in your textbook reading or in the lectures which you do not fully understand. Through discussion and examples we should be able to arrive at a clear answer to any of your questions. Lectures, workshops, and discussions are scheduled for Tuesdays through Thursdays. Because you are expected to spend a considerable amount of time using the Internet to augment lecture material and to complete web-based exercises, there will be no class meetings on Fridays.

STUDENT EVALUATION
Each student will be evaluated on the basis of Web Assignments; and Midterm and Final Exams.

Exams, Web Assignments
During the quarter, there are three scheduled exams: two midterms and one final exam, each worth 100 points. The final exam will focus only upon the material covered since the second midterm exam. If you miss an exam without prior arrangement and notification, you have missed it. When missing an exam is justified, the make-up test will be given at the instructor's convenience. You will also be given five assignments to complete using the learning resources of the Internet's World Wide Web.   Deadlines are important - no late assignments will be accepted.

Final Evaluation
Three Exams @ 100 points each:                       300   points
Five Web Assignments @ 20 points each:         100   points
    Total possible:                                                    400   points

ATTENDANCE

You must attend class regularly. Roll will be called at random throughout the quarter and absences deducted from total points at the rate of five points per absence. If classes are canceled (for whatever reason), you are held responsible for the reading assignment.
