Physical Education

Grades

Throughout the class the teacher will be monitoring the studentís behavior and participation and using a Palm Pilot to subtract from the studentís daily points if they fail to meet any of the daily expectations (see chart below). For example, if a student is tardy to the locker room, they would lose one of their two punctuality points. If the same student is also late to class, the student would lose both of his/her punctuality points for the day.In-class daily expectation points make up 90% of the students daily points. The other 10% of the points require the students to write in their classroom journals (see chart below). The journals are use to help the students observe their progress throughout the course. The students will be required to read the grading scale and sign a classroom contract stating that they know what will be expected of them throughout the course.
