The purpose of this activity is to aid in the interpretation of topographical maps.  Match the contour representation of the figure on the left to the outline of the hills on the right.  (Answers are given at the bottome of this page.)  Another way to do this activity is to provide only the contour and have the students draw the outline of the respective hill.  Or, provide only the outline of the hill and have the students draw the contour representation.
