The focus of my program will be on NASPE'S content standards paying
particular attention to content standard #1 and #3.
1. Demonstrates competency in many movement
forms and proficiency in a few movement forms.
2. Applies movement concepts and principles
to learning and development of motor skills.
3. Exhibits a physical active lifestyle.
4. Achieves and maintains a health enhancing
level of physical fitness.
5. Demonstrates responsible personal and social
behavior in physical activity settings.
6. Demonstrates understanding and respect
for differences among people inn physical activity settings.
7. Understands that physical activity provides
opportunities for enjoyment, challenge, self-expression, and social interaction.
Motor skills:
travel throughout open space using a mature
walking or running form at
different speeds and change directions quickly
in response to a signal
without running into objects or other persons.
identify and use a variety of relationships with objects (e.g.,
over/under,
behind, alongside, through) and body parts
in space (e.g. arms, legs, hips,
ankles).
