Your student will be participating in a Bocce until in their physical education program. This is a sport that originated in Italy. It has been played for many centuries there. It was often played by the warriors during the breaks of war with pebbles and stones. Nowadays, instead of pebbles we use balls to play the game. During this unit your student will be learning how to work in group settings, eye-hand coordination, learning how to put the right trajectory on the ball to make it land or stay at the target and strategies to the game of bocce. This sport is an activity that your student can play for a lifetime.
The students will be graded based on their attendance, participation,
evaluation of skills and a written test at the end of the unit. They
will have plenty of time to learn and develop skills to play the game of
bocce. If you have any questions or comments about this unit please
contact me by e-mail at vanstraj@cwu.edu or call me at the school.
I would like to answer any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Jann Van Stralen
