This is a whole group activity. We will first discuses to see if anyone knows what the game of bocce is. Then we will go over the worksheet briefly explaining the content in it and the expectations that the students will have at the end of the unit. Then the students will actively participate in groups of 4 the game of Bocce as the warriors did back in the old days of Italy. They will be in sections of about 10 feet by 10 yards to play this game. each group will have their own colored stones (can color with paint) and will practice throwing the stones at the target stone (pallino) trying to get closer to it than anyone else on the other team. They will know the rules and should be able to play accordingly.
