Students will be able to:

1. Explain how meta-analysis offers an alternative, systematic approach to reviewing literature (In comparison to the traditional non-systematic ways of literature searching.)
2. Explain how meta-analysis offers a way of quantifying the results of a literature analysis through the use of statistical techniques (Statistically transforms findings onto a single measurement scale.)
3. Describe one example of a completed meta-analytic study.
