Students will be able to:

1. Distinguish the reasons why researchers would choose to use either parametric or non-parametric statistics (Depends on the type of data and assumptions about distribution).
2. Provide examples from your area of specialization and explain the use of two of the nonparametric tests described in the text (Chi-Square, the Mann-Whitney U test, Wilcoxon Matched-Pairs Signed-Ranks test, Kruskal-Wallis ANOVA by Ranks, Friedman Two-Way ANOVA by Ranks, Spearman Rank-Difference Correlation).
