After more than a decade of service, coupled with rapid technological advances, CWU's current Octel voice mail system has become outdated. In response, the university Voice Mail system will be updated to CallXpress by AVST. CallXpress is compatible with the Nortel phones installed in our offices, and will introduce new capabilities. The CallXpress system will provide increased Voice Mail storage along with Unified Messaging, which integrates voicemail, email and fax.

The CallXpress Telephone User Interface (TUI) is set up to mimic the Octel TUI to minimize the change impact. When you dial x2500 to access your voice mail or change your user options, you will be using the same numbers on the phone dial pad. The Telephone User Interface Guide(PDF document) can be used as a quick reference to the various TUI functions.
