CWU Voice Communications
Central Washington University is replacing their 10 year old Voice-mail System with the state of the art technology for message storage and processing. The new system, CallXpress, will be implemented Fall Quarter 2009. It will provide increased voice mail storage, and will allow CWU to implement additional "unified messaging" features such as integrated voice mail, e-mail, and fax. Your desk phone will not change.

CallXpress will replace the old system on OCTOBER 9, 2009.

To prepare for cutting over to the new Voice-mail System, you will have to record your name, personal greeting and a security code for your new Voice-mail box. This process takes less than two minutes. During September, Telecom will send you an e-mail with a temporary security code for accessing your new Voice-mail box and instructions on how to get into CallXpress to record your name and greeting.

Plan to have your password and greeting set up by October 7th. Callers will not be able to leave you voice mail until your new voice mail box is initialized!

As of October 9th, you will have a new voice mail box and access to the Web Phone Manager. More Unified Messaging capabilities will be rolled out shortly after.
