Steps for getting a BlackBerry
- User decides what type of BlackBerry they want. For device details
and pricing information, please visit http://www.cwu.edu/~its/telecom/its_telecom_pricing_cellular_blackberry.html
or call Sue Gardner at x3438.
- User decides which address book to
assign to the BlackBerry.
- Someone with budget signing authority submits Cell
Phone Service Request Form to order the device and set up a user
voice and data plans.
- Telecom orders the device.
- Telecom receives the device after approximately 5 days and notifies
user. If the user currently has a cellular device, Telecom will need that device before their number can be moved to their new device.
- Networks is notified that a new device needs to be activated and address
book assigned.
- The user is contacted and informed the device is ready to be picked
up.
- Training is available by appointment. Contact Kristi Gladen at x2392.
