Steps for getting a BlackBerry

  1. User decides what type of BlackBerry they want. For device details and pricing information, please visit http://www.cwu.edu/~its/telecom/its_telecom_pricing_cellular_blackberry.html or call Sue Gardner at x3438.
  2. User decides which address book to assign to the BlackBerry.
  3. Someone with budget signing authority submits Cell Phone Service Request Form to order the device and set up a user voice and data plans.
  4. Telecom orders the device.
  5. Telecom receives the device after approximately 5 days and notifies user. If the user currently has a cellular device, Telecom will need that device before their number can be moved to their new device.
  6. Networks is notified that a new device needs to be activated and address book assigned.
  7. The user is contacted and informed the device is ready to be picked up.
  8. Training is available by appointment. Contact Kristi Gladen at x2392.
