Faculty and Advising : Safety and Health Management

Our faculty possess experience in safety, health and environmental practice in many industries in both the public and private sectors.

Once you are admitted to one of the SHM programs, you will be assigned a faculty advisor based upon your location and your last name. Each advisor's name links to that advisor's web page and contact information.

If you have not yet been admitted to one of the programs, you are invited to speak with any of the faculty advisors to learn about safety and health management and the SHM curriculum at CWU.

One of the most important advising tools is your plan of study. It outlines the courses you will take each to complete your degree program. This form should be completed immediately after your admission to one of the SHM programs. You are expected to meet with your advisor each quarter during advising week to assure that your plan remains current and that you will be able to complete your program of study. Following are example plans of study based upon the courses available at your program location. Work with your advisor to assure that all required courses and other courses, such as prerequisites, are included in your plan of study.
