Admission and Transfer : Safety and Health Management

Admission to one of the bachelors degree programs of study in the Safety and Health Management curriculum includes three distinct steps:

1. Apply and be admitted to Central Washington University: Apply online for the Ellensburg campus or for the Lynnwood or Des Moines centers.

2. Complete course prerequisites and related requirements: The following links are to program brochures (pdf) that outline course and other prerequisites.

The following are Transfer Academic Program Plans (TAPP) between CWU and community/ technical colleges across Washington that itemize courses, including program prerequisites, to be taken at both the community or technical college and at CWU to complete one of the SHM bachelors degrees. Students should work with their advisors at both the community/technical college and in the SHM program early in their academic careers to assure as seemless a transition as possible. TAPPs in progress include Edmonds Community College, Lake Washington Technical College, and Pierce Community College.

3. Submit your application for admission to the program: Please use the linked forms (doc) to apply to the Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Applied Science, or Minor in Safety and Health Management programs. These forms may be used at any program location. Once completed, the form must be submitted to the appropriate faculty advisor.
