Industrial Technology Major

This major prepares the graduate for leadership positions in industry and technical distribution. The program applies algebra, trigonometry and the physical sciences to industrial systems.

Graduates enroll in the support and required courses, and then 'specialization' courses by advisement in an area of technical interest. Specializations in industry evolve with current technology, and some current examples are: Industrial Distribution, Microelectronics Manufacturing, Power Technology, Non-destructive Testing, Cast Metals / Metal Fabrication, and Wood Production / Composite Technology. Other specializations may be created by advisement.

Students pursuing this degree should work closely with their department advisor to assure that they have met the prerequisites for the upper division electives.
