Welcome to the Construction Management Program at Central Washington University. CWU offers a four year Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management. The Construction Management program is one of several in the Industrial and Engineering Technology (IET) Department, which is in turn part of the College of Education and Professional Studies. The program has around 130 students enrolled with approximately 36 students graduating each year. Smaller class size, with a focus on "hands on labs" allows individual attention and a unique exposure to all aspects of construction. Prospective students MUST be admitted into the Construction Management program before they can take any 300 level CMGT classes. Requirements and application for admittance into the Construct ion Management program are may be found in theConstruction Management Handbook. Applications are due 15 OCT of each academic year. Students must complete the following classes, with sufficient grades, prior to applying for the major: English 101 & 102 (C), Math 153 & 154 (pre Calc)(C), the following class must be completed or in progress: IT 101(computers ie MS word & excel) (C), and CMGT 265 (Blueprint reading)(B-). Applications for admission into the Construction Management major will be reviewed on 15 October of each year. The program is fully accredited by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE) and is a member of the Associated Schools of Construction (ASC), Region 7. | ||
